US FBA's Requirements for Goods Packaging

Those familiar with the US FBA should know that Amazon has strict requirements for the outer packaging of goods, and if the packaging is not qualified, it will not be able to smoothly enter the warehouse. For example, a single cardboard box packaging cannot exceed 5 PO items, and usually should only contain one PO. In order for goods to smoothly enter the FBA warehouse, foreign trade enterprises should master and be familiar with the requirements of the US FBA for the outer packaging of goods.

The US FBA has strict requirements for the labeling of goods. Each outer box of goods must carry an Amazon logistics specific label, and the packaging tape cannot carry labels from other goods companies. When labeling, it is necessary to strictly comply with Amazon's relevant requirements and not post incorrect labels. If the cardboard box used is a recycled cardboard box, all old cargo labels and other labels that affect Amazon logistics transportation should be removed first. For pallet goods, Amazon labels must be affixed on all four sides. The posting of labels can facilitate the identification of goods by FBA warehouse staff in the United States and accelerate the efficiency of goods sorting.

The US FBA also has requirements for the weight and size specifications of goods. The weight limit of a single cardboard box packaging is 22.5kg. If the weight of a single item exceeds 22.5kg, a "Team Lift" label needs to be posted on the outer packaging. If the weight exceeds 45kg, a "Mech Lift" label needs to be posted to allow Amazon staff to understand the weight of the goods and choose appropriate handling methods. The FBA in the United States has stricter packaging requirements for jewelry and watches, with a single cardboard box weighing no more than 18kg. In terms of size, neither side of the cardboard box can exceed 63.5cm, unless the size of the product itself exceeds the limit standard. If the product size exceeds 63.5cm, it needs to be palletized and placed on a 1m * 1.25m tray. In addition to exceeding the limit in size, goods weighing over 45kg also need to be palletized.
